SMT LABS are SANAS accredited and DALRRD approved laboratories. In addition, we are a Woolworths approved supplier. We are the only laboratory in South Africa accredited for determining total plate count on contact paddles – thus enabling faster turn-around time as compared to conventional total plate count testing. Our BFN branch is SANAS accredited to test the efficacy of disinfectants in vitro as well as on non-porous surfaces.

We strive to deliver accurate results by incorporating the latest technologies and using internationally accepted test methods. We take part in rigorous proficiency testing to ensure constantly accurate test results. We pride ourselves on ethical conduct as one of the corner stones of our company.

Not only are our staff focused on accuracy and ethical conduct, all technical staff and technical signatories have a degree/diploma in Microbiology or related fields. In addition, several staff members hold B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees.

We understand that time is of the essence, therefore we offer a guaranteed turn-around time of 3 working days for products based on positive release (except in the case of presumptive positive results and/or re-testing of samples).

Our advanced laboratory information management system allows for always-on access to test reports. Micro-alerts will direct your attention to out of spec results as soon as the results are available.
